• Position: Surgical Technologist (Scrub Tech)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks (Standard)

• Hours: 40 hours per week (Guaranteed)
• Shift: Days | 5x8-Hour or 4x10-Hour configurations (Specific day shift hours will be confirmed during the interview).

Job Description & Unit Details

Join a fast-paced operating room team dedicated to high patient safety and efficient surgical outcomes. Operating under the direct supervision of an RN, the Surgical Technologist is responsible for maintaining the sterile field, managing advanced instrumentation, and ensuring safe handling of specimens and surgical equipment.

• Team Culture: Highly collaborative environment. Techs are expected to actively assist with ancillary duties such as rapid room turnovers, cleaning between cases, stocking rooms, and supporting the Central Sterile area when needed.
• Safety Protocols: Strict adherence to patient safety workflows, including active participation in surgical Time-Outs, proper labeling of sterile field medications, and rigorous count policies.

Requirements

Experience & Education

• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of dedicated experience or documented clinical training as an OR Scrub Tech.
• Education Required: Must meet one of the following criteria:
  • Graduate of a CAAHEP or ABHES accredited Surgical Technology program.
  • Graduate of a United States Armed Forces Surgical Technologist program.

Certifications & Licensure

• Core Certification: Active BLS.
• Specialty Certification: Must hold one of the following active certifications at submission:
  • CST via the National Board of Surgical Technology and Surgical Assisting (NBSTSA)
  • TS-C via the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT)
