ICU Travel RN – Day Shift

Location: Oconomowoc, WI

Facility: Level II Trauma Center | 91 Beds

Unit: 2nd Floor ICU (14 Beds)

Shift & Schedule

• Shift: 12-Hour Days (0700–1900)
• Hours: 36 hours per week
• Schedule Cycle: 6-week increments
• Weekends: Every other weekend
• On-Call: None
• Holidays: 1 holiday per contract
• RTO: Up to 7 days allowed

• Orientation: 2 days (Day 1: Admin/IT + Unit; Day 2: 12hr floor orientation)
• Scrubs: Any solid, professional color (no graphics/logos)

Requirements

• Experience: Minimum 2 years of ICU experience
• First-Time Travelers: Accepted
• EMR: EPIC experience required
• Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NIHSS (TNCC preferred)

Job Details

• Patient Ratios: 1:1 to 1:2 (1:3 allowed only via Team Nursing or for lower-acuity holds)
• Common Diagnoses: Sepsis, respiratory/kidney failure, STEMI/NSTEMI, post-cath, TBI, stroke, trauma (falls/GSW). No open-heart surgeries.
• Core Skills: Vent/trach care, chest tubes, invasive lines (Art lines/CVP), heavy drip titration.
• Floating: Travelers float first. May float to MedSurg/Tele or ED Boarding (1:4 ratio maximum when floating).
• Unit Support: 24/7 RT, Hospitalists, and Intensivists; 1-2 CNAs per shift; Charge RN takes an assignment.
