Job Description:
ARMStaffing is seeking skilled and dependable Surgical Technologists for travel and local contract opportunities across the U.S. As a vital member of the surgical team, you’ll work alongside surgeons, nurses, and other healthcare professionals to ensure safe and efficient surgical procedures.
Key Duties:
- Prepare operating rooms by setting up surgical instruments, equipment, and sterile drapes
- Assist surgeons during operations by passing instruments and anticipating needs
- Maintain a sterile field and monitor aseptic techniques throughout procedures
- Count sponges, needles, and instruments before and after surgery to ensure accuracy
- Handle specimens appropriately and prepare them for laboratory analysis
- Clean and restock operating rooms after procedures
- Collaborate with surgical team members to ensure optimal patient outcomes
Requirements:
- Completion of an accredited Surgical Technology program
- National certification (e.g., NBSTSA or NCCT) preferred
- Active state licensure or eligibility, as required
- BLS certification
- Minimum 1 year of recent experience in a surgical or operating room setting
- Strong knowledge of surgical procedures, instruments, and sterile techniques
- Ability to remain focused and calm in high-pressure situations
