🧠 Neuro PCU RN – Roanoke, VA

📍 Facility: Carilion Roanoke Memorial Hospital
🏥 703-bed Level I Trauma Center | Magnet Facility | Teaching Hospital
🕒 Shift: Days – 3x12s (6:45 AM – 7:15 PM)
💻 EMR: Epic
📅 Contract: 13 Weeks

✅ Required Certifications:
• ACLS
• BLS
• NIHSS
• Active VA or Compact RN License

✅ Required Experience:
• Neuro PCU, Stepdown, or Acute Care experience
• Cardiac monitoring & dysrhythmia management
• Rapid Response/Code Team participation
• IV therapy, blood administration, central/peripheral line care
• Cardiac drips (non-titrating)
• Stroke and neurosurgical patient care preferred

👥 Patient Ratio:
• 1:4–5 (must be comfortable with 1:5)

🩺 Patient Population:
• Stroke patients
• Neurosurgical recovery
• Epilepsy monitoring patients
• Neurological diagnoses with occasional medical overflow

📌 Additional Details:
• First-time travelers accepted
• Block scheduling available
• Weekend requirement: Every other weekend or 6 weekends per 6-week schedule
• Must work 1 holiday during the contract
• Floating required within skill set
• Facility may call off 1 shift every 2 weeks
