Contract Details
- Start Date: ASAP
- Contract Length: 91 Weeks
- Shift: 5x8 Nights
- Hours: 3:00 AM – 11:30 AM
- Every Other Weekend Required
- No On-Call
- Must be flexible to work alternate shifts when needed
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 1 year of Phlebotomy experience
- First-time travelers accepted
- BLS Certification required
- Washington Medical Assistant Phlebotomist (WA MAP) License required at submission
- Pending license not accepted
- Travelers living within 50 miles of the facility are not eligible
Primary Responsibilities
- Perform venipuncture using Vacutainer and syringe methods
- Collect blood specimens from:
- Neonates
- Infants
- Pediatrics
- Adolescents
- Adults
- Geriatric patients
- Perform finger-stick and heel-stick collections
- Use handheld blood collection devices
- Ensure proper specimen labeling and handling
- Provide post-venipuncture site care
- Transport specimens according to laboratory procedures
- Maintain patient safety and infection-control standards
- Collaborate with nursing, laboratory, and healthcare teams
- Document collections accurately in EPIC
