Registered Nurse – Oncology
Location: Springfield, IL
Facility: Springfield Memorial Hospital
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 07/20/2026
Shift: Day Shift | 3x12 Hours (07:15 AM – 06:45 PM)
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
Job Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care to adult and geriatric oncology patients in an inpatient setting.
- Assess, plan, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
- Administer and monitor chemotherapy treatments and manage treatment-related symptoms.
- Perform IV therapy including central line care, PICC care, port management, infusions, and blood product administration.
- Monitor patient condition, communicate abnormal findings, and provide patient/family education.
- Maintain accurate documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
- Float to other units as needed within scope of practice.
Requirements:
- Active Illinois RN License (or in application process).
- Minimum 1 year of Oncology RN experience required.
- First-time travelers accepted.
- Current BLS certification required.
- Chemotherapy certification required.
