Shift: Rotating
Shift Information: 12hr shifts rotating between 7a-7p and 7p-7a (not in the same week)
Clinical Interviewing- Yes/No: yes, with manager review
On Call, Call Back Requirements: varies, dependent on unit need
Weekend Rotation: every 3rd
Holiday Requirements: as needed
Floating Requirements: L&D & Mother/Baby (skillset dependent)

•       Primary Stroke Center

General Information

•       Beds: 10 bays and 1 isolation room

•       Experience: 2 years preferred

•       First-time traveler: Upon Review

Patient Types:

•       Neonates, 32 weeks and up

Patient Ratios:

•       RN: 1:1-3, based on acuity (Day and Night)

Required Certifications:

•       RN - ACLS, BLS, NRP

Skills required

•       Attend and participate in baby stabilization for 32 weeks and up. Stabilize and prepare transport for under 32 weeks' gestation newborns

Support on the unit:

•       Charge Nurse - may take patient assignment

•       Receptionist, 24/7 on MBU

•       Pediatric hospitalist available, 24/7

•       Neonatologists rounds daily

•       On call OB 24/7

•       Phlebotomy to assist with peripheral blood draws

Charting System/Equipment:

•       EPIC

•       Alaris

•       Pyxi

·        Bridge access for donor milk and breast milk administration

Orientation:

•       At least one shift on unit to learn flow
