Registered Nurse – SICU 

Location: Springfield, IL
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: 07/20/2026
Shift: Night Shift | 3x12 Hours (06:45 PM – 07:15 AM)
Weekly Hours: 36 Hours
 

Job Responsibilities:

• Provide critical care nursing to adult patients in the Surgical ICU.
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments and develop individualized care plans.
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring advanced ICU interventions.
• Administer medications including continuous sedation, vasoactive drips, paralytics, and emergency medications.
• Manage ventilated patients and provide respiratory support including BiPAP/CPAP and HFNC.
• Perform IV therapy including central line, arterial line, PICC care, blood administration, and infusion management.
• Monitor neurological status and care for patients with stroke, post-neurosurgical, and traumatic brain injury conditions.
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation and collaborate with interdisciplinary teams.
• Float primarily to other ICU units as needed.

Requirements:

• Active Illinois RN License required at time of submission.
• Minimum 1 year of SICU/ICU RN experience required.
• Previous ICU travel experience required.
• Current certifications required:
  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • NIHSS
• First-time travelers not accepted.
