Location: Shiloh, IL
Contract Duration: 13 Weeks
Start Date: ASAP after privileging process (estimated 2–3 months)
Shift: Day Shift | 4x10 Hours (06:45 AM – 05:15 PM)
Weekly Hours: 40 Hours
Unit: Operating Room – RNFA (11300-19001059)

Job Responsibilities:

• Serve as Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) in the Operating Room across multiple surgical specialties.
• Assist surgeons during operative procedures including tissue handling, suturing, suctioning, irrigation, and wound closure.
• Prepare and maintain sterile surgical environments using aseptic techniques.
• Support perioperative patient care and monitor patient safety throughout procedures.
• Manage surgical instruments, equipment, case carts, and sterile processing workflows.
• Assist with surgical exposure, hemostasis, drainage systems, and procedural support.
• Collaborate with surgical teams to ensure efficient and high-quality patient outcomes.
• Float to Memorial Belleville OR as needed within scope and service line.

Requirements:

• Active RN License required.
• Minimum 2 years of RNFA / OR experience required.
• Current certifications required:
  • BLS
  • CNOR (required for credentialing)
• First-time travelers accepted.
• Pending license not accepted.
