Patient Types: see submission requirementsPatient Ratios: 1:1Bed Size: 16Scrubs: providedAvg. caseload Average 35-50 cases per day. Expectation for turnovers is less than 20 minutes.Special equipment 3 Davinci robots. Use Stealth technology for Neuro navigation and use primarily Synthes or Stryker for ortho trauma. We don t do many ortho joints.How many suites 16 OR s. Run from 12-14 routinely. As a level 1 trauma center, we reserve space for traumas.Service lines -Cardiac/ PV, Neuro, ortho (primarily trauma), robotics, gyn, uro, general, pediatrics, transplants. We do a small volume of ENT and plastic procedures.Scrub or Circulate both would be preferred.Other the call for weekends is from end of shift on Friday until 0630am Monday.Traveler will be required to float across all campuses; Iowa Methodist MC, Iowa Lutheran Iowa Methodist Submission requirements: Quickly interviewing viable candidates: Phone call/text from a 405 area codeOrientation Dates: 7/13, 7/20 (sooner starts will be prioritized)HOLIDAY update:unless the Unit is closed, yourcontractor isrequired to work 1-2 of 3 upcoming Summer holidays (Memorial Day, Independence Day, Labor Day)24 months ofof current operating room experience [required] --- (hospital/medical center experience will be prioritized)circulating / operating roomexperience [required]scrub experience [highly preferred]experience in the following cases: General, davinci Robotics, Pediatrics and Trauma [required]additionalexperience in the following cases:(Neurology, orthopedics(primarily trauma), gynecology, urology, transplants, plastics, Ear, nose, throat, Vascular) [highly preferred]EPIC electronic medical systems experience within previous 3 years [required]Trauma Level I experience [highly preferred]Trauma level II experience [required]No 1st time travelers, must have completed a travel assignment within previous 15 mos. [required]PROFILE REQUIREMENTS:Work history/resume/employment history must have 24 months of current operating room experience[required] OnCall:up to 1 overnight/week and 3 weekends per 13 week contract
