Description

Physical Therapist (PT) – Rehabilitation Services

Facility Type: Hospital-Based Rehabilitation Department (Outpatient, Inpatient, Swing Bed & Sports Medicine)

Must Have

  • Current Nebraska Physical Therapist License
  • Graduate of an accredited Physical Therapy program
  • BLS/CPR Certification
  • Experience evaluating and treating orthopedic and neurological conditions
  • Strong patient assessment and treatment planning skills
  • Experience developing individualized rehabilitation programs
  • Ability to document patient care accurately in an EMR
  • Excellent communication and interdisciplinary collaboration skills
  • Ability to work with patients across the lifespan (Pediatrics to Geriatrics)

Preferred

  • Outpatient Physical Therapy experience
  • Inpatient Rehabilitation experience
  • Swing Bed experience
  • Orthopedic rehabilitation experience
  • Joint replacement rehabilitation
  • Post-operative rehabilitation
  • Sports medicine experience
  • Experience working with high school athletes
  • Experience supervising Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and clinical students
  • Experience with TruBridge (Evident) EMR

Schedule

  • Days: Monday–Friday
  • 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week
  • 10-Hour Shifts
  • 4x10 Schedule Available
  • Typical Shifts:
    • 7:00 AM – 3:00 PM
    • 8:00 AM – 4:00 PM
  • Contract Length: 13 Weeks

Key Responsibilities

  • Perform comprehensive patient evaluations and functional assessments
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on patient goals and diagnoses
  • Provide therapeutic exercises, manual therapy, and functional mobility training
  • Monitor patient progress and modify treatment plans as needed
  • Educate patients and families on treatment plans, home exercise programs, and recovery goals
  • Collaborate with physicians and the interdisciplinary healthcare team
  • Document evaluations, treatments, progress notes, and discharge plans accurately
  • Supervise Physical Therapist Assistants (PTAs) and clinical students
  • Maintain a safe, organized, and patient-centered rehabilitation environment
  • Treat a diverse patient population including pediatric, adult, geriatric, orthopedic, post-surgical, swing bed, and sports medicine patients
