Job Overview

• Facility: KS Olathe Medical Center (TUKHS System)
• Location: Olathe, KS (2033 West 151st St)
• Position: Registered Nurse - Telemetry (4N Cardiac Unit)
• Contract Duration: 13 weeks
• Target Start Date: 07/20/2026
• Hours: 36 hours per week (Bi-weekly pay period. Facility may cancel 1 shift per 2-week period with a minimum 2-hour notice).
• Shift: Nights | 3x12-Hour (19:00 - 07:30)
  • Schedule Details: Every other weekend required. No on-call. Must be available to work the Labor Day holiday.

Job Description & Unit Details

Join the 4N Cardiac Telemetry unit at Olathe Medical Center. This position is perfect for an autonomous cardiac nurse comfortable managing specialized post-procedure recovery and complex cardiac medication protocols.

• Unit Environment: Fast-paced acute cardiac care.
• Charting System: EPIC
• Floating: Required. Willingness to float across all acute care units based on hospital census.
• Campus Policy: TUKHS is a strictly nicotine-free facility.

Requirements

Experience & Clinical Competency

• Experience Required: Minimum 1 year of recent, dedicated Telemetry experience (2–5 years preferred).
• Specific Clinical Skills: Must have documented experience with:
  • TR Bands straight from cardiac procedures.
  • Cardiac drips (Heparin, Bumex, Lasix, and Cardizem).
  • The Tikosyn / Sotalol initiation process.

Licensure & Certifications

• State License: Active Kansas (KS) RN license in hand.
• Certifications: Active BLS.
