Job Description & Unit Details

Great opportunity for a seasoned, highly autonomous obstetrical professional at an acute care medical center in western Oklahoma. This night-shift role requires a confident clinician capable of managing full-spectrum labor, delivery, and immediate recovery workflows.

• Independence Level: Critical Factor. The incoming traveler must be completely comfortable working solo as the only designated L&D nurse on the unit during the shift.
• Clinical Setting: Fast-paced community hospital handling localized OB admissions, tracking, and couplet stabilization.

Requirements

Experience & Clinical Profile

• Experience Required: Strong, independent foundation in Labor & Delivery nursing (typically 2+ years minimum recommended to successfully manage a solo shift).
• Core Competencies: Full comfort tracking maternal-fetal monitoring patterns, managing active labor, assisting with deliveries, and executing post-delivery recovery protocols.

Licensure & Certifications

• State License: Active Oklahoma (OK) state RN license or active multi-state Compact license in hand.
• Certifications Required: * NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program)
  • BLS
• Certifications Preferred: * Advanced FHM (AWHONN Advanced Fetal Heart Monitoring)
  • ACLS
