Description
Job Description & Unit Details
Join a highly collaborative, fast-paced 35-bed Progressive Care Unit. This unit caters to high-acuity adult and geriatric populations, requiring strong critical thinking, proactive communication, and an adaptable team-player attitude. The floor is fully supported by dedicated Charge Nurses on each shift and a supportive 1:10 Patient Care Tech ratio.
- Patient Ratios: 1:4 to 1:5
- Common Diagnoses: Complex Cardiac care, Nephrology, Stroke management, Diabetes Mellitus (DM), and continuous EEG monitoring.
- Drip Titration: Required. Must be fully competent independently titrating and managing Progressive Care drips, including Cardizem, beta-blockers, and specialized seizure medications.
- Floating Policy: Required. Competency to float to general Medical floors, ICU (within PCU scope), or Acute Rehab units as facility volume dictates.
Requirements
Licensure & Certifications
- State License: Active state RN license or active multi-state Compact license in hand.
- Certifications Required: Active BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS.
