Position Details

• Facility: Bozeman Deaconess Hospital
• Position: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
• Contract Length: 13 Weeks (91 Days)
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Shift: Variable Day Shift
• Traveler must reside at least 90 miles from the facility.

Schedule

• Variable day shifts.
• 36 guaranteed hours per week.
• Call rotation required.
• Flexible schedule to cover unit needs.
• Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or operational needs.

Required Experience

• Minimum 18 months of Registered Nurse experience.
• Operating Room experience required.

Preferred Experience

• 1 year circulating experience.
• 1 year scrub experience.
• CNOR certification preferred.

Required Licensure & Certifications

• Active Montana Registered Nurse License (or eligible to obtain before start).
• American Heart Association (AHA) BLS.
• American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS.

Preferred Certification

• CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room).

Key Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive patient assessments.
• Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
• Provide perioperative nursing care.
• Deliver patient and family education.
• Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
• Promote patient safety and quality improvement.
• Maintain accurate documentation.
• Participate in evidence-based nursing practice.
• Support professional development and leadership initiatives.
• Maintain stroke competency requirements.
