Position Details
- Facility: Bozeman Deaconess Hospital
- Position: Registered Nurse – Operating Room (OR)
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks (91 Days)
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
- Shift: Variable Day Shift
- Traveler must reside at least 90 miles from the facility.
Schedule
- Variable day shifts.
- 36 guaranteed hours per week.
- Call rotation required.
- Flexible schedule to cover unit needs.
- Facility may cancel up to 3 shifts during the 13-week contract due to low census or operational needs.
Required Experience
- Minimum 18 months of Registered Nurse experience.
- Operating Room experience required.
Preferred Experience
- 1 year circulating experience.
- 1 year scrub experience.
- CNOR certification preferred.
Required Licensure & Certifications
- Active Montana Registered Nurse License (or eligible to obtain before start).
- American Heart Association (AHA) BLS.
- American Heart Association (AHA) ACLS.
Preferred Certification
- CNOR (Certified Nurse Operating Room).
Key Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive patient assessments.
- Develop and implement individualized nursing care plans.
- Provide perioperative nursing care.
- Deliver patient and family education.
- Collaborate with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Promote patient safety and quality improvement.
- Maintain accurate documentation.
- Participate in evidence-based nursing practice.
- Support professional development and leadership initiatives.
- Maintain stroke competency requirements.
