Position Overview
The Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) supports ARC Health’s mission to create and sustain the healthiest Indigenous community by delivering culturally competent, integrated behavioral health care. This role focuses on reducing stigma, improving access, and advancing high-quality, patient-centered services across inpatient, outpatient, and community settings.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide psychiatric evaluation, diagnosis, and treatment across the lifespan.
- Prescribe and manage medications, including complex behavioral health cases.
- Order and interpret diagnostic tests; monitor and adjust treatment plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation in the Electronic Health Record (EHR).
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated care.
- Support integration of behavioral health across all service lines.
- Participate in quality improvement, safety, and patient experience initiatives.
- Educate patients, families, and staff on behavioral health conditions and care.
- Serve as a clinical resource and assist in training students and residents.
- Engage in culturally responsive practices that support Indigenous health and wellness.
- Serve on committees and complete additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Graduate of an accredited Psychiatric Mental Health Nurse Practitioner (PMHNP) program.
- Board certified PMHNP.
- Active, unrestricted U.S. license in a recognized jurisdiction.
