Job Requirements
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of NICU experience required.
- Previous travel experience is required. First-time travelers will not be considered.
Licensure & Certifications
- Current Oregon RN License required.
- Pending Oregon license accepted with proof of Oregon license application and fingerprint submission.
- BLS (Basic Life Support) certification required.
- NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program) certification required.
Schedule
- Start Dates: 7/1, 7/15
- Shift: 3x12-hour Nights
- Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Weekend & Holiday Requirements
- Weekend Requirement: 3 Saturdays and 3 Sundays within a 6-week scheduling period.
- Holiday Requirement: Must work at least one holiday (either July 4th or Labor Day).
- On-Call: None.
Patient Population & Floating
- Primary assignment is NICU.
- Will float within competency to care for patients less than one year of age, which may include:
- PICU
- Pediatric Acute (Infants Floor)
- NICU Overflow
- Travelers are expected to float within the facility and across the Legacy Health system as needed.
- Refusal to float as requested will result in contract cancellation.
Additional Requirements
- Travelers must complete all assigned education within one week of the assignment start date.
- Local candidates are not accepted. Candidates must live more than 50 miles from any Legacy Health facility.
- Previous travel experience is mandatory.

Cons
Staff constantly switched. My documents weren't sent to the school, resulting in a months lost pay. It is IMPOSSIBLE to get on touch with anyone to answer questions. I have been attempting to reach them for over a month with absolutely no response! They lose paperwork (tests, immunizations, background checks and fingerprints) resulting in even more lost work.
