50-mile radius rule applies
All Applicants must include a copy of unexpired driver's license
Licensing hits, if any must be disclosed

Unit Details

# of Beds: 30
Ratios: 1:6/7 (Ratio will go up to 1:7 — RN must be okay with this)
Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS
Common Diagnoses/Patient Types: CHF, COPD, cellulitis, R/O, chole, appy, pneumonia, urosepsis, AKI

Staffing

Charge Nurse? Yes — one charge RN on the floor, with assignment
Nurse Aides on Unit? Yes — PCTs on the unit

Clinical Responsibilities

RNs Required to Titrate Drips? Yes — heparin, based on aPTT results
RT Equipment (vents, CPAP, BiPAP, etc.): No vents; intermittent BiPAP
Telemetry on Unit? Yes — watched remotely by monitor techs

Scheduling

Shifts and Scheduling: Transitioning to QGenda
Weekends and Holidays: Scheduled as needed — typically half of total weekends
Standby/Call Requirement? No
Floating Requirements: As needed based on census; external travelers float first
