Travel Cath Lab Technologist – Rapid City, SD | 89-Week Contract | 40 Guaranteed Hours

Location: Rapid City, South Dakota
Facility: 417-bed Level II Trauma Center
Start Date: August 17 (Preferred)
Contract Length: 89 Weeks
Shift: 10-Hour Days (with Call)
Guaranteed Hours: 40 Hours/Week

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Cath Lab Technologist to join a high-volume cardiovascular team at a leading Level II Trauma Center. The ideal candidate must have extensive experience in coronary interventions, structural heart procedures, complex PCI, and peripheral vascular procedures.

Minimum Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of recent Cath Lab Tech experience
  • Experience with:
    • Coronary interventions
    • Complex PCI
    • Structural heart procedures
    • Peripheral vascular procedures
  • First-time travelers are not accepted
  • Must live 100+ miles from the facility
  • Former permanent employees must wait 1 full year before returning as travelers

Required Certifications

  • BLS
  • ACLS
  • RT (Radiologic Technologist) or equivalent certification OR RCIS
  • Associate Degree (AA/AAS) required

Required Skills

  • Table movement (panning)
  • Arrhythmia recognition and treatment
  • Critical patient assessment
  • Experience assisting with:
    • STEMI cases
    • Cardiogenic shock
    • Chronic total occlusions (CTO)
    • Diagnostic cardiac catheterizations
    • Valvular heart procedures
    • Peripheral vascular interventions
    • Carotid, renal, and limb salvage procedures
    • Impella and LVAD insertions
      Schedule & Call
    • 10-hour day shifts
    • On-call requirement:
      • 1–2 weekdays per week (4:30 PM–6:00 AM)
      • Every 4th weekend (Friday 4:30 PM–Monday 6:00 AM)
    • Weekend rotation every 4th weekend
    • 4-day unit orientation (10-hour shifts)
