Job Description:

We are seeking a patient-oriented and collaborative Medical-Surgical / Telemetry Registered Nurse for a 13-week travel contract at Sovah Health in Martinsville, VA. If you are a team player who excels in a high-volume acute care setting and enjoys working with adult and geriatric populations, this is a fantastic day-shift opportunity!

Facility Details & Unit Highlights:

• Facility: Sovah Health - Martinsville (An accredited Duke Heart & Telestroke Network Member)
• Unit: 41-bed Acute Care Floor
• Patient Ratios: 6:1
• Charting System: Meditech
• Dress Code: Flexible! Any color solid scrubs are accepted.

Clinical Scope & Floating:

• Common Cases: Heart Failure, Diabetes, Hypertension management, and orthopedic recovery (hip/knee replacements).
• Floating: May float to other departments to care for similar patient populations.

Requirements:

• Minimum 1+ years of recent acute care Med-Surg/Tele experience.
• Active Virginia or Compact RN License.
• Required Certifications: BLS, NIHSS, and Handle with Care.
• Strict Radius Rule: Permanent residence must be 60+ miles away from the facility to qualify for the travel rate.
• Must be willing to consent to on-site random drug screening protocols per facility policy.
