Job Description:

We are seeking an elite, highly resilient Travel Operating Room (OR) Registered Nurse to join the General Team at Aspirus Wausau Hospital. This is a high-volume, 21-suite Level II Trauma Center averaging 45 cases daily. If you have 5+ years of core OR experience, thrive circulating a diverse surgical mix, and are looking for a stable 40-hour guarantee, we want to talk to you!

Facility Details & Unit Highlights:

• Facility: Aspirus Wausau Hospital (Level II Trauma Center)
• Unit: General Team OR (21 OR suites running 40–60 cases/day)
• Case Specialty Mix: General Surgery, GYN, Urology, Plastics, ENT, and GI.
• Charting System: Epic preferred.
• Dress Code: Flexible! Any color solid scrubs are accepted.

On-Call & Logistical Expectations:

• Call Schedule: 6–8 weeknights and 1–2 weekends over the course of the 13 weeks.
• Response Window: Strict 30-minute wheels-in-the-OR response time.
• Transportation: Must have your own reliable vehicle to meet call constraints (rideshares/Uber are not permitted for call compliance).

Requirements:

• Experience: Minimum 5+ years of recent inpatient OR experience AND at least 1 completed travel assignment.
• Facility Size History: Must have proven experience in a comparable large facility ($\ge$ 20 OR suites).
• Clinical Skills: Strong Circulating proficiency is required (Scrubbing is a plus).
• Required Clinical Focus: Active DaVinci Robotics and Level II Trauma experience.
• Licensure/Certs: Active Wisconsin or Compact RN License. AHA BLS and ACLS required.
• Radius Rule: Permanent tax address must be 50+ miles away from the facility.
• Traits: Looking for a social, flexible hard-worker who manages change well and is willing to tackle downtime tasks when needed.
