TRAVEL RN - ICU & MED-SURG TELEMETRY | Cortez, CO

Southwest Health - Southwest Health System 8/3/26 - 11/2/26 (91 days/13 weeks) Nights: 6p-6a | 1 POSITION AVAILABLE

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Graduate of accredited school of nursing (Associate degree required; Bachelor's preferred)
  • CO RN License or Compact (CO license within 90 days if Compact)
  • BLS (can obtain at facility if needed)
  • ACLS (can obtain at facility if needed)
  • PALS (can obtain at facility if needed)
  • EKG course completion (within 4 months of hire)

CORE RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Administer nursing care using appropriate nursing procedures
  • Demonstrate knowledge of growth and development across lifespan
  • Assess patient data and identify clinical needs
  • Telemetry monitoring and basic arrhythmia interpretation
  • Supervise non-professional staff and delegate appropriately
  • Medication administration using EMAR with scanning
  • Initiate and revise patient care plans
  • Critical thinking and evidence-based practice
  • Participate in in-services, drills, and educational opportunities

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Telemetry monitoring
  • Patient assessment and care planning
  • Documentation in timely, accurate manner
  • Team collaboration and customer service
  • Flexibility with scheduling
  • Cultural competency

PHYSICAL DEMANDS:

  • Lift up to 100 lbs occasionally, 50 lbs frequently, 20 lbs constantly
  • Full range of movement including kneeling, crouching, reaching
  • Environmental exposure: infectious waste, chemicals, pharmaceuticals
  • Moderate to occasionally loud noise levels
  • Potential interaction with belligerent/aggressive patients
Must be able to float between ICU and Med Surg
