RN – PACU | Travel Assignment | Morgantown, WV

Join a prestigious teaching hospital and one of the region's leading academic medical centers! We're seeking experienced Post Anesthesia Care Unit (PACU) Registered Nurses to care for adult and pediatric surgical patients in a fast-paced, high-acuity perioperative environment.

• Rotating Schedule (Primarily Monday–Friday Days)
• 8, 10, or 12-Hour Shifts
• 40 Guaranteed Hours per Week

Requirements

• Active RN License
• BLS Certification
• ACLS Certification
• PALS Certification
• Minimum 2 years of recent PACU experience
• Level I Trauma PACU experience preferred
• Recent EPIC experience preferred
• Comfortable recovering both adult and pediatric patients
• Experience with ventilated patients and advanced airway management preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide Phase I and Phase II post-anesthesia recovery care
• Perform comprehensive patient assessments following surgery
• Monitor airway, respiratory, and cardiovascular status
• Manage pain control and post-operative recovery
• Recover ICU patients when required
• Administer medications and monitor for anesthesia-related complications
• Float within Pre-Op, PACU, and Phase II recovery areas as needed

Schedule & Call

• Primarily Monday–Friday day shifts
• Rotating weekends and occasional night shifts as needed
• Approximately 20–24 hours of call per month
• 1-hour call response time

• Driver's license address must be more than 50 miles from the facility
• COVID vaccination required (medical and religious exemptions considered)
