Required Certifications BLS, ACLS & NIHSS required for NCCU, MICU, SICU Common diagnoses/Types of patients stroke; dialysis; head bleeds; ventric/evd, neuro diorders requiring critical care Experience or 'Must have' skills ICU experience, critical care Are RNs required to titrate drips? yes Common titratable &/or set rate drips Levophed; phenylpherine; versed; paralytics; heparin; insulin;nicardipine,vaso Charge Nurse/House Supervisor Free charge nurse, not in staffing Are there nurse aids on this unit/Ratios Yes – ratio is 10:1 Hospitalist or Intensivist in house Intensivist in house during the day, on call at night, 24/7 APP coverage
