Certified Surgical Technologist (OR) – Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepared and maintained sterile operating rooms, instruments, and surgical supplies for a wide range of procedures.
• Assisted surgeons during General, Gynecology, Robotics, Neuro, Orthopedic, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Burn, Trauma, and Vascular procedures.
• Passed instruments, sutures, and surgical supplies while maintaining strict sterile technique throughout procedures.
• Performed surgical counts of instruments, sponges, and sharps before, during, and after surgery.
• Prepared, positioned, and draped patients while ensuring safety and adherence to aseptic standards.
• Operated and maintained surgical equipment, anticipating the needs of the surgical team during procedures.
• Assisted with specimen collection, labeling, and transport according to facility protocols.
• Collaborated with surgeons, anesthesia providers, and perioperative staff to ensure efficient patient care and workflow.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of recent OR Surgical Technologist experience.
• Skill Level 3 or higher in Joint, Neuro, Orthopedic, and Vascular surgery (required).
• Broad surgical experience including General, GYN, Robotics, Neuro, Orthopedics, Plastic Surgery, Urology, Burn, and Trauma.
• Ability to work variable 12-hour day shifts with on-call responsibilities.
• Willing to float to other departments as needed.
