Surgical Technologist (General/Trauma OR) – Roles & Responsibilities

• Prepared operating rooms by ensuring sterile instruments, supplies, and surgical equipment were available for scheduled and emergency procedures.
• Assisted surgeons during General, Trauma, Neuro, Vascular, ENT, Orthopedic Spine, Gynecology, Urology, Plastic, Breast, Eye, and Endovascular procedures.
• Maintained a sterile field by passing instruments, sutures, implants, and supplies throughout surgical cases.
• Performed instrument, sponge, and sharps counts before, during, and after surgery to ensure patient safety.
• Prepared, positioned, and draped patients while adhering to aseptic technique and infection prevention standards.
• Assisted with robotic surgeries using Mazor and Da Vinci Xi systems and supported trauma and emergency procedures.
• Handled surgical specimens according to facility protocols and documented perioperative activities accurately.
• Collaborated with surgeons, anesthesia providers, RNs, and the perioperative team to ensure efficient workflow and optimal patient outcomes.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Surgical Technologist experience.
• First-time travelers accepted with at least 2 years of experience.
• Strong experience in Trauma, Neuro, General, Vascular, ENT, Orthopedic Spine, Gynecology, Urology, Plastics, Breast, Eye, and Endovascular procedures.
• Experience with Cerner EMR.
• Ability to take weekday, weekend, holiday, and buddy call as scheduled.
• Willingness to complete a 2-week orientation.
