Registered Nurse (RN) - Operating Room (OR) Travel Position

Location: Sylva, North Carolina
Contract Length: 13 weeks
Employment Type: Travel

Facility & Unit Overview

• Acute care hospital with 86 beds
• Operating Room unit with 7 beds
• Patient ratio: 1:1
• Equipment includes Hana table, trauma table, enseal, myosure, novasure, kabtec, neoprobe
• Electronic Health Record system: Paragon
• Patient population includes pediatric and adult cases

Position Details

• Role: Registered Nurse in Operating Room specialty
• Shift: 10-hour shifts on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday
• Weekly guaranteed hours: 40
• Call coverage required occasionally to cover PTO days for dedicated call RNs
• No weekend hours required
• Scrubs provided as dress code

Required Qualifications

• Valid Registered Nurse (RN) license in North Carolina
• Minimum 1 year of Operating Room (OR) nursing experience within the last year
• Completion of at least one prior travel assignment in the specialty
• Associate of Science in Nursing (ASN) / Associate Degree in Nursing (ADN)
• Certifications required: Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) and Basic Life Support (BLS)
• Experience working with both pediatric and adult patients

  • Orthopedics
  • General surgery
  • Urology
  • Gynecology (GYN)
  • ENT (both pediatric and adult)
  • Pain management
  • Pediatric dental procedures
