Radiation Therapist – Roles & Responsibilities

• Administered prescribed radiation therapy treatments in accordance with physician orders and established treatment plans.
• Performed patient setup and treatment simulations to ensure accurate positioning and radiation delivery.
• Operated and calibrated radiation therapy equipment while adhering to radiation safety and quality assurance standards.
• Monitored patients during treatment, assessed for adverse reactions, and provided education and emotional support.
• Maintained accurate electronic medical records (EMR) and documented all treatment sessions and patient responses.
• Fabricated and utilized treatment accessories and shielding devices to ensure precise radiation delivery.
• Performed routine quality control checks on radiation therapy equipment and reported any equipment issues promptly.
• Collaborated with radiation oncologists, medical physicists, dosimetrists, and nursing staff to deliver safe, high-quality patient care.

Job Requirements

• Minimum 2 years of Radiation Therapist experience.
• Active ARRT (T) certification (required).
• Active AHA BLS certification.
• Minimum 1 year of travel experience or post-graduation experience using Varian and ARIA systems.
• Experience with Varian and ARIA (required).
• Experience with TrueBeam, ARIA, and Trilogy systems (preferred).
• Strong knowledge of radiation safety, quality assurance, and treatment planning.
• Ability to work Monday–Friday, 8:00 AM–4:30 PM (40 hours/week), with the possibility of 4x10-hour shifts.
• No on-call or weekend requirements.
