Description

RN – Wound Care | Roles & Responsibilities

  • Assess, treat, and manage patients with acute and chronic wounds, ostomies, and continence-related conditions.
  • Develop and implement individualized wound care treatment plans.
  • Perform wound assessments, dressing changes, and Wound VAC (NPWT) therapy.
  • Monitor wound healing, identify signs of infection, and collaborate with providers on treatment plans.
  • Educate patients and families on wound care, skin integrity, and ostomy management.
  • Administer medications and treatments related to wound care.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and charting in accordance with hospital policies.
  • Coordinate care with the interdisciplinary team to promote optimal patient outcomes.

Required Documents / Certifications

  • Active Texas RN License or Compact RN License
  • BLS (AHA)
  • 2+ years recent hospital Wound Care RN experience
