Medical Assistant / Correctional Health Technician | Phoenix, AZ | Nights
We're hiring Medical Assistants/Correctional Health Technicians for a 13-week Corrections assignment with Maricopa County Correctional Services in Phoenix, AZ!
Assignment Details
- Start Dates: 7/6 & 7/20
- 13-week contract
- 36 hours/week
- Night Shift
- 3x12-hour schedule
- Orientation every 2 weeks
- Extension opportunities available
Requirements
- Completion of an accredited Medical Assistant program (per Arizona requirements)
- First Aid Certification
- Current N95 Fit Test
- 1+ year of Medical Assistant experience
- High school diploma or GED
- Must be comfortable working in a correctional healthcare setting
- Must be available to work weekends and holidays
Position Highlights
- Work alongside medical and nursing staff providing patient care in a correctional environment
- Duties include vital signs, patient assessments, medication administration, injections, blood draws, EKGs, documentation, and other clinical responsibilities within the MA scope of practice
- Floating between nearby correctional facilities may be required
- Overtime available based on facility needs and manager approval
