Description
Registered Nurse (RN) – LDRP (Labor, Delivery, Recovery & Postpartum)
Facility Type: Acute Care Hospital – LDRP Unit (Level II OB & Level II Nursery)
Must Have
- Active RN License
- BLS Certification
- ACLS Certification (if required by facility)
- NRP Certification
- Fetal Monitoring Certification (preferred/commonly required)
- Experience in Labor & Delivery (L&D)
- Triage experience
- Postpartum nursing experience
- Experience circulating Cesarean Sections (C-Sections)
- Ability to care for maternal and newborn patients
- Strong obstetric assessment and emergency response skills
Preferred
- LDRP experience
- Level II Nursery experience
- Newborn stabilization experience
- Previous travel nursing experience
- Experience in high-risk obstetric care
Schedule
- Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
- 12-Hour Shifts
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care throughout Labor, Delivery, Recovery, and Postpartum
- Assess and monitor maternal and fetal well-being
- Perform obstetric triage assessments
- Assist with vaginal deliveries and emergency obstetric procedures
- Circulate and assist during Cesarean Sections
- Provide immediate newborn assessment and care
- Monitor postpartum recovery for mother and infant
- Administer medications, IV therapy, and patient education
- Collaborate with obstetricians, anesthesiologists, pediatric providers, and multidisciplinary teams
- Document patient care accurately in the electronic medical record
- Respond effectively to obstetric and neonatal emergencies
