Travel Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) – Days | 13-Week Contract
Shift: 12-Hour Days (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
Schedule: 36 Hours/Week | Every Other Weekend (EOW) | First to Float
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Long Term Care (LTC) Registered Nurse (RN) to provide compassionate, high-quality nursing care to residents in a 26-bed long-term care facility. The RN will function as the charge nurse, administer medications, perform wound care, monitor resident health, and collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to ensure optimal patient outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care to long-term care residents.
- Serve as the charge nurse during assigned shifts.
- Administer medications safely and accurately.
- Perform wound assessments and wound care treatments.
- Assess, monitor, and document resident conditions.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans.
- Respond to changes in resident condition and notify providers as appropriate.
- Communicate effectively with residents, families, physicians, and healthcare team members.
- Maintain accurate documentation in MatrixCare EMR.
- Ensure compliance with facility policies and nursing standards.
- Float to other appropriate units if required.

- EMR: MatrixCare
- Nurse-to-Resident Ratios:
- Days: 1:10
- Nights: 1:19
Required Qualifications
- Active Registered Nurse (RN) license.
- Current BLS certification.
- Recent Long Term Care (LTC) nursing experience.
- Experience with medication administration and wound care.
- Strong assessment, communication, and organizational skills.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous Charge Nurse experience.
- Experience using MatrixCare EMR.
Unit Details
- No IV therapy or titratable drips.
- No telemetry monitoring.
- No respiratory therapy on-site.
- Oxygen equipment includes concentrators and portable concentrators.
- Pharmacy services provided off-site.
Schedule & Requirements
- 12-hour day shifts (7:00 AM – 7:00 PM)
- Every Other Weekend required
- Every Other Major Holiday required
- No call or standby
- First to Float
- 2–3 shifts of unit-specific orientation
Contract Details
- Contract Length: 13 Weeks
- Guaranteed Hours: 36 Hours per Week
Submission Requirements
- Active RN license required at submission.
- 50-mile radius rule applies.
- Candidates cannot be currently employed (full-time, part-time, or PRN) with any facility affiliated with CommonSpirit, CHI, or Dignity Health.
- Request all time off (maximum 7 days per 13-week contract) before submission; additional RTO requests will not be approved.
