Job Description:
We are seeking an elite, highly professional Neuro ICU Registered Nurse for a 13-week night-shift travel contract at Centra Health. - Facility: Centra Health Hospital Network (Teaching Hospital System)
- Unit: Neuro Intensive Care Unit (B51)
- Patient Population: High-acuity acute neuro diagnoses encompassing both complex surgical interventions and medical neurology cases.

Key Responsibilities & Scope:
- Provide comprehensive, high-level critical care to neuro patients, managing continuous monitoring, remote telemetry, wound vac care, chest tubes, and enteral tube feeding.
- Maintain flexibility to step into Charge Nurse responsibilities when required (appropriate leadership training and pay differentials will be provided).
- Float first within your clinical ICU competency across the facility as required by unit census.
Requirements:
- Minimum 2–3 years of recent core ICU/Neuro ICU experience.
- Must have prior travel nursing experience (Strict facility rule; no first-time travelers).
- Active Virginia or Compact RN License.
- Required Certifications: AHA BLS, AHA ACLS, and NIHSS.
- Strict Radius Rules: Permanent tax address must be 60+ miles away from the facility to qualify for the full travel stipend package. (Local candidates within 60 miles are welcome to apply at a modified local rate of $75/hr).
- Vaccination Policy: COVID/Flu vaccines or signed, approved formal declinations required.
- All Requested Time Off (RTO) must be locked in and submitted upfront at the time of application.
