• Weekly Gross: $2,506.00
• Weekly Taxable: $1,260.00

Local Pay Rate

• $64.00/hour

Schedule

• Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
• Part-time, 3x12-hour shifts
• 36 hours/week

Position Overview
The Registered Nurse provides direct, individualized patient care on the Neuro unit, applying the nursing process and current clinical practice to manage a designated patient caseload. This role requires sound clinical judgment within a fast-paced neuroscience care environment, working collaboratively with the healthcare team to ensure safe, high-quality outcomes.

Essential Functions

• Perform all nursing responsibilities and duties specific to the Neuro unit's scope of service
• Apply specialty procedures and clinical theories relevant to neurological patient care
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date nursing documentation to support care coordination
• Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized plans of care based on patient and family needs
• Implement and modify the plan of care based on ongoing clinical evaluation
• Identify and report or correct safety hazards to protect patients and staff
• Communicate professionally and directly to resolve issues with colleagues
• Provide constructive feedback to support peer development and engage in collaborative learning
• Identify personal learning needs and pursue appropriate professional development
• Meet all departmental competency requirements

Required Skills & Experience

• Minimum 3 years of relevant nursing experience
• Core competencies: nursing, patient care, nursing documentation, patient assessment, plan of care development
• Additional skills: nursing interventions, safety reporting, constructive feedback, professional development, departmental competencies

Education

• Required: ASN (Associate's Degree)
• Preferred: BSN

Required Certifications & Licensure

• Active Illinois RN license in good standing
• BLS (American Heart Association)

Language

• English (Read, Write, Speak)
