Position Overview

Seeking a Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) for a newly opened Evaluation & Treatment (E&T) Center/Psychiatric Emergency Services unit. This fast-paced behavioral health setting provides crisis assessment, stabilization, and treatment for patients experiencing psychiatric emergencies. Patients may remain in the unit for up to 24 hours before being discharged or transferred to a higher level of care if needed.

This opportunity is ideal for clinicians who are adaptable, thrive in high-acuity environments, and are comfortable working through evolving processes typical of a new program launch.

Assignment Details

• Start Date: 08/02/2026
• Contract Length: 13 weeks
• Schedule: Thursday – Saturday
• Shift Hours: 10:00 AM – 10:30 PM
• Hours per Week: 36

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychosocial, behavioral health, and crisis assessments
• Evaluate patients for risk and appropriate level of care
• Facilitate discharge planning and care coordination
• Collaborate with an interdisciplinary behavioral health team
• Provide crisis intervention and short-term stabilization support
• Coordinate transfers for patients requiring inpatient psychiatric treatment
• Complete timely and accurate documentation in the electronic medical record

• Psychiatric Emergency Services / Evaluation & Treatment Center
• High-volume, fast-paced behavioral health setting
• Patients may remain for up to 23 hours and 59 minutes for evaluation and stabilization
• New program with developing workflows and procedures

Requirements

• Active Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) license
• Behavioral health, crisis intervention, emergency psychiatry, or inpatient psychiatric experience preferred
• Strong assessment, communication, and care coordination skills
• Ability to work independently in a dynamic clinical environment
