Contract Details

• Location: Near Tulare, CA
• Guaranteed Hours: 36 hours/week
• Length: 13 weeks
• Cancellation Policy: The facility can cancel a maximum of 1 shift every 4 weeks.

Facility & Unit Overview

• Hospital Scale: A ~613-bed teaching hospital and Level III Trauma Center
• Unit Volume: High-volume unit handling ~5,000 deliveries per year. Backed by a Level III NICU.
• Scope of Practice: Covers L&D, Postpartum, OB Triage, and C-sections (OR access).
• Care Team: Highly collaborative, interdisciplinary environment including OB Hospitalists and Residents.
• Patient Population: High-acuity, clinically diverse, and underserved demographic with common comorbidities (Diabetes, Hypertension, Obesity) and late prenatal care. A significant portion of the patient base is Spanish-speaking.

Requirements & Experience

• Experience: Minimum of 3–5 years of recent Labor & Delivery clinical experience. Must be highly adaptable and comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-workload environment.
• License: Active California (CA) RN license required.
• Certifications: AHA BLS, PALS, NRP, and AWHONN (Intermediate or Advanced Fetal Monitoring) are required.
• Floating: Flexibility is a must, as floating between related maternal-child health units is possible based on facility needs.
