• Day Shift: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM (3x12s)

• Every Other Weekend Required

Job Description:

• Provide specialized nursing care to critically ill and premature neonates in a Level IV NICU environment.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based care to neonatal patients beginning at 22 weeks gestation and above.
• Perform comprehensive neonatal assessments and develop individualized plans of care.
• Monitor, evaluate, and respond to changes in neonatal conditions using critical thinking and clinical judgment.
• Administer medications, IV therapy, and specialized neonatal treatments according to established protocols.
• Initiate, maintain, and manage peripheral IVs and central lines.
• Perform central line and implanted line care while maintaining infection prevention standards.
• Conduct phlebotomy procedures and obtain laboratory specimens as required.
• Manage and administer oral, nasogastric (NG), and orogastric (OG) feedings.
• Support nutrition management and monitor feeding tolerance in neonatal patients.
• Collaborate with neonatologists, respiratory therapists, pharmacists, social workers, and interdisciplinary teams to optimize patient outcomes.
• Provide family-centered care and educate parents regarding neonatal treatment plans and discharge preparation.
• Document patient care accurately and efficiently using Epic EMR.
• Utilize specialized communication and monitoring tools including Mobile Heartbeat / Connected Care systems.
• Float to pediatric areas within scope of practice to support operational needs.
• Participate in orientation and unit-based education to maintain competency in neonatal critical care.

Required Qualifications:

• Active Registered Nurse (RN) License (pending license accepted but must be active before start date)
• Minimum 2 years of NICU RN experience
• Level III NICU experience required (screen carefully — do not submit candidates below requirement)
• Current BLS Certification
• Current NRP Certification
• Experience with Epic EMR preferred
