Schedule:

• Night Shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM (3x12s)
• 36 Hours per Week
• Self-Scheduling
• Every Other Weekend Required
• Float Required (ICU Cluster)
• No On-Call

Job Description:

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing to patients in the Burn Center ICU, including ICU and step-down level patients.
• Deliver evidence-based nursing care to adolescent, adult, and geriatric patient populations.
• Monitor and manage critically ill patients requiring advanced cardiac, respiratory, and hemodynamic support.
• Perform detailed patient assessments and continuously evaluate and adjust plans of care.
• Manage patients with burn diagnoses, ICU overflow, medical-surgical overflow, and progressive care needs.
• Provide care for ventilated patients and support airway management activities including intubation and extubation.
• Assist with chest tube insertion/removal and ongoing chest tube management.
• Monitor and interpret arterial blood gases (ABGs) and adjust care accordingly.
• Manage BiPAP, CPAP, and ventilator support for critically ill patients.
• Administer blood products and manage IV therapies safely and effectively.
• Perform central line and PICC line care and maintenance.
• Monitor and titrate cardiac drips and vasoactive medications according to physician orders and protocols.
• Assess and manage patients with dysrhythmias and acute neurological conditions including stroke/CVA.
