Description
***Oregon License Required - Can apply for the OR 90 Day Emergency License***.
Profile Review - If recommended by our clinical team, the Unit Manager will call candidate for a phone interview.
Unit L&D/PP/MB.
# of L&D Beds - 5.
# of OR Suites - 1 within the unit, staffed by the main OR we don't scrub/circulate.
# of triage beds - 1.
# of Postpartum beds - 3 in addition to the 5 LDRPs.
# of births per day, per year - Approx 340 annual deliveries (30-35/month on average).
Do ratios follow AWHONN guidelines? - yes.
Required Certification - BLS, NRP.
Experience or 'Must have' skills - L&D, PP, routine nursery, Intermediate Nursey; Nurses must be able to be independent in all areas of care.
There are always a minimum of 2 nurses present, sometimes 3.
Each RN is the back up for the other.
Strong skills are essential.
Each RN is depended on equally.
Are RNs required to titrate drips? - Yes.
Shifts & Scheduling - 12 hour shifts - Either 7a-7p or 7p-7a (We do block scheduling; trades are allowed).
Weekend Requirement - EOW.
Holiday Requirement - 1 major, 1 minor if applicable.
