Job Description:

• Provide comprehensive critical care nursing for patients in a high-acuity ICU environment.
• Deliver safe, evidence-based nursing care utilizing critical thinking, advanced assessment, and ICU protocols.
• Assess, monitor, and manage critically ill patients requiring continuous observation and complex interventions.
• Develop, implement, and evaluate individualized patient care plans.
• Provide care for medical, neurological, cardiovascular, surgical, trauma, and post-operative ICU populations.
• Monitor hemodynamic status and respond appropriately to changes in patient condition.
• Manage critically ill patients requiring advanced cardiovascular and respiratory support.
• Perform and monitor Continuous Renal Replacement Therapy (CRRT) and demonstrate competency with Prismaflex / Prisma systems.
• Provide care for patients requiring invasive monitoring and specialty ICU equipment.
• Collaborate with physicians and interdisciplinary teams to coordinate patient treatment and improve outcomes.
• Administer and titrate critical medications and therapies according to ICU standards.
• Support emergency interventions and rapid response situations.
• Float to other hospital units as needed (excluding Behavioral Health and ED unless holding patients).
• Maintain timely and accurate documentation using Epic EMR.
• Educate patients and families while promoting continuity of care and patient safety.
