Pay Package (Travel)

  • Weekly Gross: $2,401.60
  • Weekly Taxable: $1,155.60

Schedule

  • Nights, 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
  • 3x12-hour shifts
  • 36 hours/week

Position Overview
The CCU Registered Nurse provides direct patient care for critically ill cardiac patients, managing a designated caseload through the nursing process. The role demands advanced clinical judgment, proficiency with specialized critical care equipment, and strong interdisciplinary collaboration to achieve optimal patient outcomes.

Essential Functions

  • Perform all nursing responsibilities specific to the CCU scope of service
  • Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans upon admission
  • Implement, evaluate, and modify plans of care based on continuous patient assessment
  • Monitor and adjust specialized equipment including ventilators, cardiac monitors, oxygen pumps, and respirators
  • Interpret and record electronic displays including intracranial pressures, central venous pressures, and cardiac rhythms
  • Work with ventilated patients to facilitate early mobility
  • Respond to life-saving situations based on nursing standards and protocol
  • Prepare equipment and assist physicians during examination and treatment
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date nursing documentation
  • Ensure meaningful hourly rounding, bedside report, and whiteboard communication with patients and families
  • Identify and report safety hazards; take corrective action as needed
  • Provide constructive feedback to support peer professional development
  • Fulfill all departmental competency requirements
