Description

Job Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of Labor & Delivery RN experience required (3+ years preferred).
  • First-time travelers are welcome, but must have experience in a large, high-volume Labor & Delivery unit.
  • Experience in a facility with 300+ births per month is required.
  • Active BLS, AWHONN Intermediate, and NRP certifications (required).

 

Schedule & Unit Requirements:

  • Comfortable working in a high-acuity, fast-paced Labor & Delivery unit.
  • Experience managing double labor assignments, as they are a daily occurrence.
  • Comfortable with a 2:1 nurse-to-patient ratio in a unit averaging 20 births per day, 30–40 admissions, and 40 patient visits daily.
  • Available to work 12-hour day shifts.
  • Willing to work every other weekend (minimum of 6 weekend shifts per 6-week schedule).
  • Must be willing to float to the High-Risk OB/Special Maternity Care Unit as needed.
  • May be required to precept and orient new staff.

Additional Information: Experience using EPIC, Pyxis, and SBAR is preferred. Hospital-provided scrubs. No additional RTO is permitted after booking. Any additional call-offs or RTO requests may result in assignment cancellation and Do Not Return (DNR) status. T4H - 985
