Travel RN – PCU / Med-Surg Tele Float | Candidate Screening Checklist
✅ Required Experience
- Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience in:
- PCU (Progressive Care Unit), or
- Med/Surg Telemetry
- Previous travel nursing experience required
- Epic EMR experience required
Will accept:
- PCU RN
- Stepdown RN
- Med/Surg Telemetry RN
✅ Unit Assignment
Traveler will be assigned based on the hospital's greatest staffing need and the candidate's experience:
- Progressive Care Unit (PCU)
- Med/Surg Telemetry
The assignment may change throughout the contract depending on census and staffing.
✅ Required Skills
- Telemetry monitoring
- Acute care nursing
- Cardiac patient care
- Medical-surgical patient management
- Strong assessment and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
✅ Floating Requirements
Must be willing to:
- Float within the hospital based on competency
- Float to affiliated facilities within a 40-mile radius if needed
✅ Scheduling Requirements
- Every Other Weekend (EOW)
- Every Other Holiday (EOH)
