Position: Registered Nurse - Outpatient Clinic Hematology Oncology
Location: Edmonds, WA 98026
Duration: 13 week
Start date: 08/03/2026
Local Pay Rate: $50/Hr on w2
Travel Pay Rate: $2400 weekly ($20.5/Hr W2 + $1580 weekly stipend)
Shift:
- Day Shift: Monday - Friday
- Schedule: 5x8s or 4x10s
- 8-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–3:00 PM or 2:00 PM–10:00 PM
- 10-hour shifts: 7:00 AM–5:00 PM
- No weekends, no call, no floating
Job Description:
We are seeking an experienced Outpatient Hematology/Oncology Registered Nurse for a travel assignment supporting the Radiation Oncology team. This is a weekday-only position with flexible scheduling (5x8s or 4x10s), no weekends, no call, and no floating. The RN will provide comprehensive nursing care to oncology patients receiving radiation therapy, focusing on assessment, symptom management, patient education, and coordination of care.
Responsibilities:
- Provide nursing care for outpatient hematology and oncology patients.
- Assess and monitor patients receiving radiation therapy.
- Manage oncology-related symptoms, including nausea, fatigue, pain, neuropathy, dysphagia, skin changes, and nutritional concerns.
- Recognize and respond to oncologic emergencies such as hemorrhage, spinal cord compression, increased intracranial pressure, and tumor lysis syndrome.
- Administer medications, monitor for side effects, and provide patient education.
- Review and communicate abnormal laboratory results to providers.
- Coordinate care with physicians and the multidisciplinary oncology team.
- Call in prescriptions and document all patient care accurately in Epic.
- Follow radiation safety protocols, isolation precautions, and infection control standards.
- Perform wound care and patient assessments as needed.
Requirements:
- Active WA state or Compact RN license.
- BLS certification.
- Minimum 3 years of RN experience.
- Recent oncology nursing experience is required.
- Radiation Oncology experience preferred but not required.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Must have outpatient oncology experience.
- First-time travelers are not accepted.
