📋 What You Will Do

As a Travel Echo Tech, you will work in a fast-paced, high-volume academic lab balancing both in-lab and portable studies.

• Daily Lab Volume: ~110 TTEs, 14 Stress Echos, and 5–6 TEEs across the department.
• Case Mix: Advanced Heart Failure, Chemotherapy Evaluations, and Renal Transplant Evaluations.
• Tech Stack: Utilize top-tier equipment including Philips and GE Echo machines, Philips ISCV for reporting, and Epic (Encompass) EMR.
• Floating: Occasional floating to close-by regional satellite clinics (Davie IP/OP and Country Club clinic).

🔑 Job Requirements

Experience & Certifications

• Experience: Minimum of 2 years as an Echo Technician.
• Core Registry: Active national certification is mandatory via one of the following:
  • RDCS (ARDMS)
  • RCS (CCI)
  • ACS (Advanced Cardiac Sonographer through CCI)
• Life Support: Active BLS required. (ACLS and PALS are highly preferred).

Clinical Skills

• Proficiency in 2D, Doppler, Color Flow, 3D, Strain, and Contrast studies.
• Preferred: Experience with Stress Echos, interventional procedures, and IV management.

👔 Dress Code & Logistics

• Uniform: Black scrub pants/skirt. Barney Purple scrub top (no eggplant). Warm-up jackets must be matching purple or black.
• Orientation: Includes hospital-wide orientation plus 2 full days of dedicated departmental onboarding.
