✨ Position Overview

We are currently seeking an experienced PACU Registered Nurse (RN) for a travel assignment. This is a fast-paced recovery unit where patient care, teamwork, and adaptability are essential. If you thrive in a high-acuity environment and prioritize patient experience, this is a great opportunity.

🏥 Unit Details

• Unit: PACU / Recovery Room
• Beds: 30
• Patient Ratio:
  • 1:2 (standard)
  • 1:1 (higher acuity cases)
• Staffing:
  • Days: 1 Charge RN + 12 RNs
  • Nights: 2 RNs (often on-call)
• EMR System: Meditech 

🩺 Key Responsibilities

• Provide post-anesthesia care to surgical patients
• Monitor patient recovery and vital signs
• Manage pain and ensure patient comfort
• Collaborate with surgical and anesthesia teams 

✅ Required Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of RN experience
• At least 1 year recent acute care PACU experience
• Active RN license
• BLS & ACLS certifications (required) 

⭐ Preferred Qualifications

• Previous Meditech experience
• Flexibility with scheduling
• Strong critical thinking and multitasking skills 

🔪 Common Procedures

• Craniotomies  
• Orthopedic surgeries

📞 Additional Requirements
