Travel RN – Emergency Department (ED) | Quick Recruiter Summary

📍 Position

Specialty: Emergency Department (ED) RN
Shift: Nights (3×12-hour)
Hours: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM

🚨 Important Requirements

Previous permanent employees of any Providence-affiliated facility must be separated from the health system for at least 3 months before being eligible for a travel assignment.
All Swedish facilities honor an active Compact RN License.
First-time travelers are NOT accepted.
Traveler must be willing to float to different campuses.
Every other weekend required.

Minimum Requirements

Experience

✔️ Minimum 1 year of Emergency Department experience
✔️ Previous travel nursing experience required

Certifications

✔️ BLS
✔️ ACLS
✔️ NIHSS
✔️ PALS

Emergency Department Details

29 total ED beds
11 hallway beds
Adult & Pediatric patients
Ambulance arrivals
Triage
Lobby triage
ED holding patients

Required Clinical Skills

Candidate must be comfortable with:

✔️ Breathing treatments
✔️ Chest tube setup and care
✔️ CPAP/BiPAP
✔️ Procedural sedation
✔️ Rapid Sequence Intubation (RSI)
✔️ Tracheostomy care
✔️ Ventilator patients
✔️ Blood & blood product administration
✔️ Cardioversion/Defibrillation
✔️ Cooling/Warming blankets
✔️ CRRT/Dialysis patients
✔️ 12-lead EKG acquisition
✔️ Rapid infuser

Scheduling

Night shift: 7:00 PM – 7:30 AM
Schedule is posted every 6 weeks
Other possible facility start times include:
- 7:00 AM
- 9:00 AM
- 12:00 PM
- 3:00 PM
- 7:00 PM

Time-Off Policy

Up to 5 days of non-holiday requested time off (DTO) may be submitted.
Manager approval is required.
Approved DTO will be added to the end of the contract.
