Position Overview
The CIA (Clinical Internal Agency) Float Pool RN provides direct nursing care across multiple inpatient units including Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICUs (if applicable). This role requires a highly adaptable nurse with current Trauma I experience and EPIC proficiency, capable of seamlessly integrating into various units and patient populations.

- EPIC EMR experience (mandatory)
Key Responsibilities
- Float to Medical-Surgical, Oncology, Orthopedic, Advanced Care, and ICU units as needed
- Complete initial patient assessments and develop individualized care plans upon admission
- Implement, evaluate, and modify plans of care based on continuous patient assessment
- Provide direct nursing care and collaborate with multidisciplinary team members
- Conduct and document assessments, nursing diagnoses, care plans, and patient education
- Precept staff from various units as needed
- Complete Unit Nurse Leader Training as required
- Coordinate care across disciplines to facilitate the highest quality patient outcomes
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation in EPIC
- Identify and report safety hazards; take corrective action as needed
- Offer constructive feedback to support peer professional development
- Fulfill all departmental competency requirements

- Minimum 1 year of relevant nursing experience

- Active Illinois RN License in good standing
- BLS (American Heart Association)
- ACLS (American Heart Association)
