CNA/PCT - Med Surg (Travel Assignment)

Location: Chesterfield, Missouri
Contract Length: 13 weeks

Job Overview

• Work in an inpatient rehabilitation hospital providing care for adult patients (18+ years) recovering from strokes, brain/spinal cord injuries, amputations, trauma, cancer, complex orthopedic injuries, and other conditions.
• Units include Stroke, Comprehensive, Medically Complex, Brain Injury, and Spinal Cord Injury.
• Patient ratios approximately 1:6-7 during the day and 1:8 at night, with each nurse supported by a dedicated tech.
• Facility uses Epic EHR system.
• Shift hours: 6:30 AM – 7:00 PM.
• Float required within 5 hospital units.
• Scrub color: black (ID badge provided by agency required).

Required Qualifications

• Valid CNA license in Missouri
• Minimum 1 year of CNA experience, including experience within the last year
• Experience working in a medical unit

Preferred Qualifications

• Certified Rehabilitation Registered Nurse (CRRN) credential is preferred.

Work Environment & Patient Population

• 81 private rooms in the facility.
• Adult patient population (18+ years).
• Rehabilitation focus with specialized units and equipment including monitored rooms, specialized beds, patient lifts, therapy gyms, and a healing garden.
• Emphasis on improving functional ability and quality of life through a comprehensive treatment approach addressing physical, emotional, and psychological needs.

Compliance & Policies

• Influenza vaccination required or approved medical/religious exemption with mask-wearing during flu season (Nov 1 – Mar 31).
• Masking protocols must be followed if exemption is granted.

Additional Notes

• Report to Charge Nurse upon arrival.
• Parking available in garage (upper level or back two rows of lower level).
