Travel Registered Nurse (RN) – Interventional Radiology (IR) / Cath Lab
Location: Pennsylvania
Shift: Days | 4 × 10-hour shifts (6:30 AM – 5:00 PM)
Contract Length: 13 Weeks
Job Description
We are seeking an experienced Interventional Radiology (IR) Registered Nurse with Cath Lab experience for a 13-week travel assignment. The IR RN provides specialized nursing care to patients undergoing minimally invasive, image-guided diagnostic and therapeutic procedures. This role involves pre-procedure assessments, procedural assistance, conscious sedation monitoring, post-procedure recovery, vascular access management, and collaboration with physicians and the interdisciplinary team.
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive nursing care for patients undergoing Interventional Radiology and Cath Lab procedures.
- Perform pre-procedure assessments and prepare patients for image-guided interventions.
- Monitor patients during procedures, including conscious sedation, cardiac rhythm, and hemodynamic status.
- Assist physicians with angiography, angioplasty, vascular interventions, and other IR procedures.
- Manage vascular access, sheath removal, and post-procedure recovery.
- Administer medications, IV fluids, blood products, and contrast agents as ordered.
- Recognize and respond to procedural complications and cardiac rhythm changes.
- Educate patients and families regarding procedures, recovery, and discharge instructions.
- Document all patient care accurately using Epic EMR.
- Float to other appropriate units as needed and participate in the on-call rotation.
Minimum Requirements
- Minimum 2 years of Interventional Radiology RN experience.
- Cath Lab experience is required.
- Epic EMR experience required.
- Ability to work on-call, weekends, holidays, and float as needed.
- Experience caring for COVID-19 patients preferred.
Required Certifications
- BLS (AHA or ARC)
- ACLS (AHA or ARC)
Required License
- Active RN State License (no license restrictions or disciplinary actions)

Additional Information
- 13-week travel assignment
- Manager interview required.
- Clinical pre-screen required before manager review.
- Epic EMR experience strongly preferred.
- Local candidates within 50 miles are accepted at a reduced bill rate.
- Facility is tobacco-free and fragrance-free.
- Pre-employment modules (5–6 hours) are required and billable.
- EKG competency exam may be required within 72 hours of contract signing (where applicable).
